- Vegetarian, non-smoker, architect/academic, sought a change of lifestyle on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia. My plan was to renovate a heritage house, get it off the grid, and live quietly in peace and harmony with my dog and two cats. Halifax had other plans. Will we recover?
